As an intellectual, educational, and cultural center integrated with and in service to a vibrant academic community, A.A. The Seattle University Law Library's mission is to "provide the highest quality information resources and services to support the instructional, research and scholarship endeavors of the Seattle University School of Law and the Seattle University community." Work continues on the upgraded Summit unified catalog, which allows you to request books and materials from other regional academic libraries in the Orbis Cascade Alliance. The new Summit catalog continues to improve with use.

The new and improved Summit catalog makes it easier for you to find the items you're looking for. With one search, the new Summit catalog presents results from the collections of the Orbis Cascade Alliance's member institutions in Oregon and Washington, followed by results from libraries around the world: in all, more than 107 million records for books and other materials.

Lemieux Library has begun digitizing some of our most interesting collections of historical university documents. We've begun with the back archive of the student newspaper, the Spectator. Our digital collection covers the student paper from 1933 to 2004.

Find out about the new and improved Summit catalog, starting December 1st. Watch the video tutorial or read the FAQ on the new Summit catalog.

~ Request & Save ~

To request an item be held for you to pick up from the circulation desk click "Request Item." You will be notified when the item is ready

When a list of citations is displayed, click the "Save to Cart" button next to an item you wish to save for later

Saved items can be viewed by clicking the "View Book Cart" button, and your list of saved items can be cleared by clicking "Clear Book Cart"

Your saved records can be displayed on screen for printing, or you can email them to yourself for future reference

Get more results by searching Summit, a consortioum of 35 academic libraries in Oregon and Washington.

Keyword results will display most relevant items first, unless words are enclosed in quotes

Wildcards & Truncation: Use * and ? to find variant words or spellings

Limits: Find anything that fits your limit operators with **

Phrase searching: Enclose words in quotes

Proximity operators: Specify near and within

Search fields: Use the dropdowns or special prefixes to search only certain fields
